Once one of these criteria is proven and a decision is made in this regard, a divorce will dissolve the marital bond and free the spouses.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2c02341 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2c02341\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">How to Obtain Divorce or Legal Separation ?\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ef5888b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ef5888b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Divorce and legal separation are obtained in the same way, by filing an introductory application with the courts. The applications can be made jointly or filed by one of the spouses.<\/p><p>Both legal separation and divorce can be pronounced by a court.<\/p><p>When there is an agreement between the parties, a convention dealing with the issues can be ratified by a court when it pronounces a judgment of divorce or legal separation. If the parties do not agree on these issues, the court will decide the contested matters based on the evidence presented, and will pronounce the divorce or legal separation. In either case, the parties must comply with the judgment rendered.<\/p><p>Following the judgment, it&#8217;s possible to request a modification of ancillary measures in case of significant change.<\/p><p>Please note that if you request legal separation, it&#8217;s always possible, later on, to request a divorce.
