data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As stated in Article 392 of the Civil Code of Quebec :<\/p><p>\u00ab The spouses have, in marriage, the same rights and obligations.<\/p><p>They owe each other respect, fidelity, succour, and assistance.<\/p><p>They are required to live together. \u00bb<\/p><p>As this article is of public order, it applies to everyone, regardless of the matrimonial regime chosen by the parties.<\/p><p>Spouses are also required to contribute, according to their respective abilities, to the expenses of the marriage. In other words, these are expenses related to their subsistence, the maintenance of their assets, the well-being of their family, and the education of their children.<\/p><p>Moreover, if one of the spouses contracts a debt for the ordinary needs of the family, the other undertakes to support this responsibility. This means that the consent of the other is not required to engage said responsibility. However, it&#8217;s essential to specify that the spouse is not obligated to repay the debt when they have informed the other that they do not wish to be involved in this expense. There&#8217;s no secret, clear communication avoids many worries!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f70001a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f70001a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The Obligation to Live Together\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-37fbc1c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"37fbc1c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The obligation to live together is subject to a broad interpretation. Spouses are not necessarily required to live together in the same house. Thus the owning spouse cannot sell the residence without the consent of the other. Thus, these items cannot be removed from the house or sold without the consent of the other or without a judge's
